Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Washington, DC was founded in the 1940s and formally registered in 1952. It is comprised of 30 prestigious groups that we call the Overseas Delegation. Members of each delegation send two representatives to participate in activities and vote in monthly meetings. In the 1990s, CCBA became a financially sound, 501c3 non-profit organization with the help of the Elders.

Fiesta DC boasts a rich history as a prominent celebration of Latino culture in the Washington D.C. metro area. Its roots trace back to the 1970s, initially held in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood, Fiesta DC eventually moved to the heart of the city on Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues. Over the years, it blossomed into a major festival, attracting a wider audience.
Fiesta DC is produced by Fiesta DC Inc., a non-profit corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) organization in Washington, DC.
We are committed to promoting cultural understanding and unity through our festival. Driven by a mission to preserve and promote Latino heritage, Fiesta DC has become a cornerstone event for the diverse Latino community to showcase traditions, values, and the positive contributions Latinos bring to the region.
The annual festival takes place on the third Sunday of September. Its central feature is the colorful Parade of the Nations, a visual representation of the rich tapestry of cultures within Latin America. Fiesta DC stands as a cherished cultural event, fostering understanding and unity between communities. It serves as a testament to the strength and vibrancy of Latino heritage in the Washington D.C. area.
